AND AGAIN THE WINNER IS ….
BAVARIA’s first flybridge yacht has set itself apart from impressive competition right from the start and clearly demonstrates the innovative spirit and design quality of boats from Giebelstadt by winning a number of awards. With only a few months into the new year, the Virtess 420 Fly has already won three of the most prestigious awards in the marine industry.
BAVARIA was delighted to receive the prestigious European Powerboat of the Year Award. The high-performance Virtess 420 Fly outperformed four other shortlisted boats to win the “Yachts up to 45 foot” category. Design, handling, safety on board and value-for-money were among the main test criteria.
The VIRTESS 420 Fly then continued to win yet another award. The MOTOR BOAT OF THE YEAR AWARD 2013 in the “Flybridge yachts up to 55 ft” category. The award is organised by Motor Boat & Yachting, Motor Boats Monthly and ybw.com and is the most important British design award for motor boats
The Nautical Design Award is presented every year to the yacht with the most innovative and demanding design. The prestigious prize is awarded by an international panel of experts, which includes members of the Association for Industrial Design (ADI) as well as leading designers such as Giorgio Armani, Giorgio Orsoni, Lamberto Vallarino Gancia, Vittorio Missoni and Walter de Silva (chairman).
The VIRTESS 420 was selected ahead of the other nominated models: the Pershing 82, Austin Parker 64 Fly, Ocean King 88 and the Prestige 620.
“The Nautical Design Award represents a sensational success for BAVARIA and a significant step forward for us in the luxury yacht market. We’re delighted that our first flybridge – which was only premiered this autumn – has received the most important nautical design award,” said Alexander Knesewitsch, Head of Marketing and PR at BAVARIA.
The VIRTESS 420 Fly from BAVARIA’s luxury line has already been followed by a second model – the VIRTESS 420 Coupé. The VIRTESS 420 Coupé is the next logical step to expand market share in the premium segment. Its powerful, free-spirited design and innovative features such as a panoramic sunroof, comfortable reclining areas, bright and open interior and fine furnishings mean that the new yacht represents the ultimate in luxury and comfort.
Bavaria’s first flying bridge yacht has been nominated for the “European Powerboat of the Year Award 2013”.
BAVARIA is particularly delighted by the news because this is the first boat from the new luxury range. The 12.37 m long, high-performance yacht has made it to the shortlist of five boats in the “Yachts up to 45 foot” category.
The VIRTESS 420 stands apart for its distinctive and powerful design, generous size and custom-made, superior furniture. BAVARIA partnered with renowned Italian designers TOO DESIGN on the VIRTESS 420 to produce a design concept that allows BAVARIA to enter a completely new segment.
